Human Rights at Wal-Mart

Another reason not to be be the biggest private employer in the world.

I know that Wal-Mart plays hardball – that is one reason they are so successful – but is this really a good use of the limited resources of Human Rights Watch?  The 210-page report is only the second time HRW has issued a report on a private company.

This report is part of a concerted campaign to make significant changes in long-established US Labor Law to make it easier to organize.   It is payback time for organized labor which has long supported the democratic party and may be their most important contributor (after the trial lawyers).

(I used to be involved in labor relations – so I have an interest in these things.)
