Jim provides a nice exerpt from an Economist Briefing on CEO views. HR is un-mentioned, but recruiting and talent management show up.
The bad new? The top-two box score of recruiting/talent was only 33%. The good news? We have nowhere to go but up!
One other interesting thing to note is that WRT talent/recruiting CEO’s were primarliy concerened about local recruiting and staffing in developing (China, India) markets, not the impending *boomer retirement* or the *war for talent* in developed markets.
Finally, rising wage and benefit costs (perennial) made the top five out of twelve risk factors ID’d by CEOs. Two slots below recruiting/talent.
