Interesting take on HRIT. I guess my position on this is that HR needs to become expert in utilizing data/information to support decision making & strategic planning – and to measure results, but I don’t think that is the same as being an HRIT manager. Seems like it should not be a specialty, but instead a required skill for HR Professionals.
It is a given that marketing, finance and operations people utilize data to plan and measure – why does HR have a specialty in this subject?
